Limits
Limits of sequences and functions open up an entirely new mathematical world — a world of calculations involving infinitely small and infinitely large quantities. It turns out that these seemingly almost mystical concepts can be defined with great precision and used in practical problems.
Limits, along with their definitions and theorems, form the foundation of all mathematical analysis (a derivative, for example, is a particular type of limit).
